Company Overview:

Aiwa is a startup with a brand beloved by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. The strategy to revive the brand combines strong hardware engineering and supply chain management with an efficient channel strategy to deliver category beating products. By forsaking traditional showroom retailers (Best Buy, HH Greg, etc) we can afford to double the amount our competitors spend on hardware components at a given retail price. The result, as you'd expect, is a demonstrably, and obviously, better product.

Our first test of this strategy, the Exos 9, became one of the highest rated products in the entire category (of 20,000 products) on Amazon, and it is currently the #2 best seller over $200, beating out Sony, Beats and many others.

Our brand and marketing strategies to date rely on a clear perception of high performance at our price points, backed up by a ‘no nonsense’ approach and messaging.

“We believe showing up at the basketball court with a speaker that outclasses the fashion brands is cooler than driving the car Shaq endorses.”

Consumer Electronics experience a plus, but not required.  We're a Consumer Electronics company, but not selling or developing products the traditional CE way. How Harry's and Dollar shave club sell razors is, in many ways, more pertinent to us than how Bose, Sony or Klipsch sell speakers.

This is an unstructured, rapidly growing, entrepreneurial environment. Much of what we're doing is new. Humility, interest in learning and willingness to make mistakes and correct course are prerequisites.
